    5AWESOME
    By mcarr
This is an absolute must-have for anyone felling trees. Even if you are capable of directional felling with wedges, this is just such a useful tool. What it lacks in pulling power compared to traditional come alongs, it more than makes up for with its unlimited travel. It is great for dead branches, both still connected to the tree and those that are hung up in branches....simply get a throw line over the branch, connect to the puller, and then rachet out of the tree (most dead branches will snap and come down). The rope that comes with it is not very high quality, but i have taken down dozens of trees and branches and still am using the origional rope. But, eventually you should upgrade to a higher quality rope (rope MUST BE 1/2" diameter). Well worth the money.

    5Great tree puller
    By Scott Foster
I use one or two of these to convince trees to fall in the proper direction. Two if I'm in a tricky situation and don't want to risk having the tree fall on a structure.

Using a rope puller is much easier (and safer, in my opinion) than using chains or cable. A snapped rope doesn't turn into a metal whip.

I use a Keeper 2952 2" x 6' Winch Strap, 8,000 lbs. Max Vehicle Wt. (20,000 lbs. web capacity) to anchor the puller to a tree so I don't damage the anchor tree, or I just hook the puller to my truck if a tree isn't available.

The rope is good quality, and alone is worth the price of the package.

    5I didn't know what I was missing
    By Deadeye
In the past I used a 11/2 ton CM lever hoist to assist felling trees, but when I saw this tool I thought what a great idea. It's much lighter and you're not limited by a 10' chain as this puller can use ANY length of 1/2" rope you have on hand. I used the Pow'R Pull to help fell a large rock maple that was leaning in a precarious direction. It worked perfectly. The Pow'R Pull with the 100' length rope included is a great bargain, as it actually costs less than buying the rope alone from most retail outlets.
