Fiskars's remarkably light, handy power ax splits large and thick blocks of wood with ease. The high-quality carbon steel blade has a PTFE coating, which reduces friction and helps facilitate the removal of the blade from wood. We found it to be smartly designed and easy to attach. The handle consists of a sturdy glass fiber-reinforced polyamide. This ax is much lighter than ones with wooden handles and less likely to break at the neck. Use the face of the ax as a sledge with Fiskars's splitting wedge for large blocks of wood. The ax comes complete with a plastic sheath for carrying and safe storage.
