WindChaser's pedestal-style WindColumn fan performs all the functions of a more conventional model, with the added bonus of wind-like air flow patterns. Just 6 inches in diameter, the fan features a protective grille to keep both fingers and blades safe. Oscillation is optional, fan speed comes in three settings, and a 7.5-hour timer lets you program shut-off in 30-minute intervals. All functions are controlled by a readable soft-touch display with LED indicators underneath a hinged hatch or with the convenient remote control. The wind patterns, also optional, include two variations--a rhythmic setting that cycles through the fan speeds in order and a natural setting that moves from speed to speed randomly.
