Best paint stripper ever
Best soy based paint remover on the market. We tried others and they didn't do anything. We're currently renovating a farmhouse that was build in 1830 with about 8 coats of paint on every surface. Within 15 minutes of applying Soy-Gel, the paint started bubbling up! We literally only had to wipe the paint off. Absolutely no strong odors like traditional paint stripper, so I don't have to worry about sacrificing my health just get that paint off our woodwork. Highly recommended for anyone who needs to remove paint from ANYTHING. It also makes a great tool for distressing furniture. I took an old side table and applied the Soy-Gel to it. After about 10 minutes, I wiped the product off and scraped the hard to remove areas, leaving some of the original paint on the piece. Then clean the furniture with soap and water, let dry, and seal. Presto! An expensive "Pottery Barn" looking piece of "antique" furniture!

Great Paint Stripper
By Shari M
We are redoing an old farm house from 1880. The original doors and trim work are in the house with about 7 layers of paint on them each. I was also told by someone to remember that if there are seven layers of paint double that because it usually takes two layers to cover the old color. I tried using the strongest paint stripper that I could find at the hardware store, it would not even touch the paint on the doors. I researched on the internet and found this product, tried it, and now I am on the second gallon jug. This product works fantastic!! I put the product on just like the directions said and I even left it set over night and the next morning it was not dried out. Seven layers of paint came right off. I still had some sanding to do on the base color (green) but nothing like we had before the Soy-Gel. No smell, very gentle on your skin. i would recommend this product to anyone with a big or small paint stripping job.

This stuff works. The smell is minimal. The stripping action is quick. I am wearing latex gloves, but it is not harsh. I have been stripping cabinet doors. Don't use it in sunlight or high heat conditions - Las Vegas summer weather - it drys out too quickly. I am using it in my closed garage (attached to the house) on a make-do sawhorse table and the smell isn't noticeable in the house. After stripping, I am lightly hosing off the doors outside - letting them dry (in the Las Vegas heat) then wiping them down with alcohol before restaining and urethane coating. So far, I have stripped 8 cabinet doors and am still above the first detent in the gallon bottle. This stuff works.
