Just move the hose from the intake to the exhaust housing to make the conversion complete. However you use it, the utility vac is built solid throughout. The motor housing is easy to remove and locks down securely using plastic latches. A foam filter sleeve is used for wet pickup. A foam filter/paper filter bag combination makes dry cleanup a breeze.
