Quiet shop vacuum. Never thought you'd see those words in the same sentence, did you? Fein says their new Mini-Turbo is one of the quietest vacuums out there. Use it like you would any wet/dry vacuum, without losing your hearing. Fein has been making a great shop vacuum for about three years: their model 9-55-13. If you've been eyeing that one, but holding off because of price, have a look at the Mini-Turbo. This scrappy little brother offers similar features, including the same motor, for only about $150. You can connect the Mini-Turbo directly to power tools for great pickup right at the source. "Bypass construction" means the motor won't overheat even when the vacuum is constricted by small ports on portable tools. The Mini-Turbo has a 6-gallon barrel, a 10-1/2-foot hose (longer than most), a floor nozzle, crevice and upholstery tools, and very fine 1-micron filtration. However, it does not have the tool-actuated switch that the 9-55-13 has.
