Great Lights and Remote
By William Burton
I was a little skeptical about these until I got them. I remembered the ones from about 5 or more years ago that advertised on TV that didn’t work very well. THESE DO! Technology has come a long way since then. These work great. Just put in the batteries, pull the little tab over the battery compartment on the remote controller, press the on button and you are ready to go. I got one each of the lights: The 40 Light, The 80 Light and the 100 Light. I will use this review for all 3 since they are basically the same except for length.
We like to put our Christmas lights up a little early, starting with just inside the house after Halloween. I draped the 40 Light strand over a double doorway we have and they look great. I tested the other 2 strands to make sure they worked and will save them for outside use a little after Thanksgiving.
The remote control is great, with 8 separate settings; the first setting cycles through all the other 7. You can also dim the lights down to a faint glow, which work well for inside later in the evening, or take then to full brightness or any position in between. There are also on and off buttons on the controller which will be great to being able to turn them off by remote control when it is really cold outside. There is also a pre-programmed timer you can set for 6 hours on, 18 hours off.
I’ve seen some questions about the length so here are the specs on that:
The 40 Light Strand is 5 Meters (16 Feet).
The 80 Light Strand is 9 Meters (30 Feet).
The 100 Light Strand is 11 Meters (36 Feet).
I have found no problems or anything to dislike about these lights and I know we will enjoy them this Holiday Season.

Lots of features and options. High quality beautiful lights. Easy to use.
[[VIDEOID:cd2caa4ee114a43c05a46c04fa2ae4b2]] This is a review of the 40 LED Outdoor Fairy Lights. Here are some pros & cons that i've found:
+ 8 different light pattern modes, great variety
+ 8 dim options to make LEDs brighter or dimmer
+ Remote control works great. It is a line of sight remote that you need to point at the battery case when using it.
+ 3 AA batteries gives 120hrs of operation
+ IP68 is the highest enclosure rating they give it. This means these lights are totally dust tight & protected against prolonged effects of immersion under pressure. Note that this is for the lights themselves, not the control battery box.
+ Includes a timer option that can be set using the controller. Setting this will make the lights stay on for 6hrs, then off for 18hrs. I guess until the battery dies or until you turn it off.
- No option for using a wall charger
Overall this is an excellent set of LED lights. You're getting a ton of options and features here. The battery life is really good since you can use 3 AA which i appreciate instead of smaller AAA batteries. The IP68 rating on the lights is awesome since you could dunk these in water without issue. The timer options is also a huge bonus, just set it and for get it.
I was provided this product in exchange for my honest review.

Warm coloured and robust interior or exterior fairy lights.
By Willy Eckerslike
[[VIDEOID:cf642b091439108669f24ff2700b813c]] Putting up normal mains powered fairy lights outside is such a pain that we never bother and as our cottage is so far from the road and anyone else we are the only people who see them anyway. It is nice to make a bit of an effort though and, now, thanks to the generosity of the good people at Koopower we have a set of the 100, 80 and 40 battery operated LED lights in return form an honest and unbiased review. There’s no excuse now for not putting some lights in one of the trees at the end of the drive!
Neatly and securely packaged in an attractive Christmas style box the pack comprises the string of LED very tidily arranged (they will never be like that again!), the battery box (requiring three AA batteries not supplied) and the remote control which is powered by a standard CR2032 button battery (there is a plastic isolating film to be removed from the battery). The lights have eight functions (1. Combination, 2. In wave, 3. Sequential, 4. Slo Glo, 5. Chasing/Flash, 6. Slow fade, 7. Twinkle/Flash, 8. Steady on) and the brightness can be adjusted. The modes are selected from the buttons on the remote or by pressing a button on the battery box.
The battery box seals pretty tightly but the manufacturer recommends additional protection (e.g. a freezer bag) in bad weather. There is a reasonable length of cable between the battery box and the first LED and the cable is fairly thick, robust and seems pretty resistant to tangling. The timer function is basic but effective; simply press the timer button on the remote and the lights come on at currently selected function and remain on for six hours. Stated battery life is pretty good (120Hrs, 75Hrs and 60Hrs for the 40, 80 and 100 LED units respectively) but the range of the remote control is not great at about 5m with a direct line of sight to the battery box although this is perfectly adequate for indoor and very small garden use.
The light produced is a very pleasing warm yellow which looks lovely outside but also equally cosy inside where having to site fairy lights near a socket is usually rarely satisfactory. These attractive, robust and inexpensive lights are perfect for adding an intimate and inviting ambiance to any room or special occasion and look equally good indoors or out.
