Good buy for people on a budget.
By Big D
I installed these on 7/22/2016 . Try to install early in the day so the solar panel can get as much light on it as possible (Dont forget to remove the plastic film on the light/solar panel!!). After nightfall inserted the enclosed pin to activate the units. To my surprise the light is very bright. Happy about that. The reason I gave it 4 stars was the sensor is very sensitive, too sensitive to put on my front porch. Cars that were driving by turned on the light. The one I have over the back door is fine since it's not facing the street and only comes on when someone drives or walks in the driveway.
Second reason for the 4 stars there seems to be no way to keep the light on dim. If that were the case it would get 5 stars easy. Very happy with the purchase. I will update after a few months.

Useful in limited circumstances
By Brent Butler
I've gotten a few of these lights now, and although I find them useful in certain circumstances, they don't really perform as they claim.
The light tends to be a sort of harsh blue, and doesn't cover but a few feet. In less than a year, the solar panel will deteriorate to the point that it won't fully charge the battery on a sunny day. The motion detector works, but does have a limited arc of range.
I find these most useful for placing by a door or at the head of a set of steps. That helps me find keys at what would otherwise be a dark doorstep, and illuminates a short set of steps (four of five steps max).
You do need to place these where the solar panel can get full sunlight. The TV commercials where they put them in a garage or under an eve are simply dumb. I received a sample to review.

Well Made And Works Perfectly
By Virginia P.
I love solar. I have a large yard and we have put solar lights in all of our landscaping. They are a great way to se on electricity costs. I saw that this one was LED which was a great incentive for me. They are better than the other ones in my opinion. We have a basement apartment in our home and we need to have lights that turn on when the renters come up the sidewalk to avoid any problems. We put this light on one of the deck supports ad it does a great job. It has a dim mode where it stays until it senses the motion of the walking and immediately turns to the brighter lights. They are pretty bright too. It is easy to install with the included screws. It is well made and the solar panel on the top catches all the suns rays during the day which keep it charged to last the entire night. It did come with a little protective plastic covering the solar panel which needs to be removed before use. It is small enough to not be an eyesore but does provide a good safety light for our renters. I received this at a discount in return for a review.
