This 16" Steel Bed Lathe is fine piece of equipment. It starts with a 2 HP, 230 Volt Marathon made in the U.S.A. motor and continues to the rugged tailstock. It has a 42" bed (distance between centers) and is variable speed, 0-3000 rpms. The industry proven high and low acceleration/deceleration variable speed/frequency make this lathe ideal for any turning task. Other key features include: 12" tool rest, convenient controls, and 4' tailstock spindle travel. The steel bed design is 20 times torsionally stiffer than a typical cast-iron design.
