This revolutionary wood lathe has a steel bed which is stiffer than standard cast iron beds and is more resistant to the effects of torsion. Powered by a heavy-duty, variable frequency Baldor motor, the headstock is Poly-V-belt driven and turns at speeds from 0 to 3200 rpm for a variety of projects. The cast iron headstock has heavy-duty ball-bearing support for the arbor and provides a 16-inch swing over the bed and 11-1/2-inch swing over the tool rest base. The capacity between centers is 42 inches for turning longer projects. Accepts standard #2 Morse taper accessories and a 1-1/4-inch/8 thread per inch spindle for faceplate and chuck attachments.
