If you're looking for a reliable random-orbit sander capable of fast, even material removal without bogging down, this sander is a great choice. Porter-Cable's electronic, variable-speed, 3.7 amp motor provides 2,500 to 6,000 orbits per minute. The right-angled gearing system allows it to maintain consistent speeds even when you're pressing it down into the work.
