Works with SmartThings
This currently does work with SmartThings via a community-built device type, which has been submitted to them for inclusion.
The sensor works very well. Excellent motion coverage, temp is accurate, and luminance works well. The form factor is definitely the killer feature here. It is so darn small and the mount is very unobtrusive. Having tested several motion sensors, this one is my goto device. I'll be deploying it in many areas around my house.

Nice alternative to boring motion sensors
By Busy Executive
I purchased a few of these to try as an alternative to the Aeon sensors I've been using for years. The Aeon sensors work fine, but they are bigger than these and just aren't as cool looking. I was hoping that the Fibaro would be at least as good, but smaller - and so far, that's exactly just what I'm finding.
First and foremost, the size and quality is much better with the Fibaro - they are small enough to be mounted anywhere. The pupil color/brightness adjustment is cool, and with a bit of controller-side processing, you can actually set it to just about anything, not just to indicate temperature.
I have both Vera and Homeseer, and the Fibaro sensors seem to work equally well with both.
I find that they are about the same as other units I've tried in terms of the basic sensors. Temperature agrees with my Aeon units within one degree, and all the other metrics are about the same as well. They're fast to trigger motion detection, and the range seems at least about thirty feet for a human-sized moving object.
Only downside is that these units are more expensive than the Aeon units, but I think it's a case of "you get what you pay for"...don't mind paying more for more capabilities. Also, with lithium batteries, I get about two years out of the Aeon units...not sure what the battery life for the Fibaro units will be yet, but the manufacturer claims three years with theirs.

It is easily added and removed
By Mike McCutcheon
I have high expectations for this unit. HOWEVER, I was intending to add it to a smartthings hub. The newer model (which this is) of the Fibaro Motion Sensor is not yet completely compatible with the smartthings hub. It is easily added and removed. However, it is recognized as a generic Zwave door sensor.
Here is feedback from smartthings tech support:
"Fibaro released a new version of their device that uses a different method of detecting motion which is why our current device handler doesn't work properly with you sensor. We are working with Fibaro to get a new device handler out that will work properly that we are looking to get out soon."
Good news is that they are working on it; Bad news we aren't there yet. I will sit patiently (clock starts at 4/13/16)
