This stuff has many uses.
I had a can of the same 3M-branded stuff which is priced like gold now.
One novel use is to apply it on spring-piston air rifle sight bases that tend to drift when shooting.
It can be used like Loctite for screws (in a pinch).
This liquid will patch small holes on computer power-supply cords.
And yes, it makes for water-tight electrical connections.
It will last in your toolbox for years if it's not kept
in a hot environment.
This stuff is found in better toolboxes around the USA. (and the free world)
Dab some on a bug and it will survive a nuclear blast.

New ( for me) approach to electrical connections!
This is a great product. I am making a couple of splices in a depthfinder cable and used this for insulator. Worked great. Easy to manipulate, quick to dry, quick to cure. Fast shipping, too. I'm a happy camper.

I've used it a few times
It is pretty good. It does have a strong odor when wet but I expect that. It is sort of *stringy* sort of like syrup so have to be careful not to make a mess. It has held up really well though on the damaged coaxial cable I sealed with it. I also used it on a rubber collar with wires going through it, worked great to seal and hold things together.
