Light, compact and so powerful, this little angle grinder means business when it meets metal. A walloping 9-amp motor produces an impressive 10,000 rpm to slice through just about anything, from angle iron to pipes and beams--it's surprising how fast the 802 cuts through material, given its compact size. The guard is keyless, making for faster accessory changes (and no lost wrenches), and the spindle lock is on the side for comfortable access (and protection from drops). Just screw on a wire cup brushes or wheel or attach a cutting or grinding wheel and you're ready. We like the paddle switch design with the safety lock-off to prevent accidental startups, and of course, there's a lock-on, too, for prolonged use and no hand fatigue. The grip is sure and comfortable, and the streamlined gearcase lets you maneuver the tool into tight spots. Bravo, DeWalt, for the automatic turn-off brushes that shut down the tool when the brushes need to be changed, preventing internal damage.
