This cordless circular saw from Bosch is a worthwhile addition to their well-built line of 18-volt cordless tools. Its 6-1/2-inch blade is perfect for cutting trim and ripping plywood, with a maximum 1-5/8-inch depth of cut at 45 degrees and 2-1/8 inches at 90 degrees. It offers a 50-degree bevel with a positive stop at 45 degrees and a great one-handed tool-free rear depth-of-cut adjustment. There's also a tough steel base plate, a spindle lock for easy blade changes, and an integrated dust collection port. We like the smooth performance the saw's Bosch-built power train delivers, the soft-grip (found on all Bosch cordless tools), and the great line of site that results from this blade-left configuration. The Bosch 1662K 18-volt circular saw uses its exclusive Bosch-built power train to deliver corded power in a cordless unit, with 3,600 rpm speed for fast cutting. The rear depth adjustment quickly matches the depth of stock for more accurate cuts. With a 50-degree bevel, the saw easily cuts 2-by material, and the 45-degree positive stop accurately adjusts the bevel for the most common cuts. The unit's integrated dust-collection port vacuums away up to 70 percent of sawdust for cleaner work areas. The saw comes with a 6-1/2-inch, 18-tooth, ultra-thin kerf carbide blade, which cuts smoother by reducing friction and drag, while the spindle lock allows faster, easier blade changes. Includes rip fence, one 18-volt battery, one-hour charger, and case.
