The all-metal gear transmission on Makita's 18-volt MFORCE cordless drill features a rugged 3-stage, 13-planetary gear system to create smooth, efficient power transfer for the most demanding jobs. The Shift Lock Drive System quickly locks out clutch when shifting from "driver" to "drill" mode, with maximum 1,300 rpm. The externally accessible brushes offer easy serviceability. The maximum-performance two-piece D31 motor delivers more power efficiency in a compact size, with a maximum 400 in./lbs of torque. The ergonomically designed rubberized grip enhances comfort and increases operator control. The 2.6Ah NiMH (nickel-metal hydride) batteries deliver greater capacity and longer run time that any NiCd battery. The variable speed trigger delivers precise operator control. The large spindle bearing ensures positive, on-center drilling performance, while the locking ratcheting chuck secures bits tightly to assure accuracy. The 5620D Makita 6-1/2-inch cordless circular saw cuts up to 2-3/16-inch material at 90 degrees. The saw also features an electric brake for quick adjustments, as well as externally accessible brushes for easy replacement. The saw's dust port enables vacuum attachment; while the tool-less removal of the dust container and a shaft lock mean easy blade replacement. The 18-volt cordless reciprocating saw offers variable speed (0 - 2,700 SPM) for precise cutting in a wide variety of materials and can crosscut up to 26 two-by-tens on a single charge. A tool-less blade change saves times. The reciprocating saw also features an electric brake for fast stopping of blade, and it's lightweight for easy handling and less operator fatigue. To round out the package, the ML180 flashlight provides 3 hours of continuous illumination from a single charge. The flashlight's head adjust to four positions, too, and there's a replacement bulb stored in head for convenience. The kit comes complete with two batteries, a multi-voltage charger, and plastic carrying case.
