The DW4MEGA-2 combo kit includes the drill/driver/hammerdrill, reciprocating saw with blade and rip fence, SDS rotary hammer, flexible floodlight, one-hour charger, two XR+ batteries, screwdriver bit, and carrying case. The DW988 drill/driver/hammerdrill uses a DeWalt-built high-torque motor to deliver 450 in./lbs. of torque for drilling bigger holes and driving bigger screws. DeWalt is the first company to add a three-speed transmission. Low speed and high speed are similar to other cordless drills currently available. However, the new MAX third speed is 38 percent faster, with a range of 0 to 2,000 rpm. The MAX third speed is noticeably faster for wood and metal screwdriving and drilling, and especially for hammerdrilling into masonry, where the MAX speed drills holes up to 33 percent faster. The bpm range on the MAX third speed setting ranges from 0 to 34,000. The DW988 features a 1/2-inch ratcheting chuck lock with carbide jaws. The ratcheting chuck lock features an automatic spindle lock and ratcheting action to prevent the chuck sleeve from loosening during the job. Other features include all-metal gear case and an antislip comfort grip. This kit also comes with the DW999 7/8-inch SDS electro-pneumatic rotary hammer. The electro-pneumatic mechanism provides fast penetration and reduced vibration. It comes with a factory-set clutch that reduces sudden high-torque reactions if the bit jams. The optimum drilling range in concrete is from 5/32- to 3/8-inch holes, but the unit can be used for occasional drilling in holes up to 7/8 inch. The DW938 cordless reciprocating saw cuts 50 2-by-4s on one charge. It takes just seconds to change the blade thanks to the innovative keyless lever action blade change. The DW919 floodlight has a flexible neck, which allows the user to point the beam in any direction. It offers up to three hours of continuous lighting on one charge.
