This cordless combo kit from Makita includes the BLS712 7-1/2-inch cordless slide compound miter saw and 1/2-inch cordless driver/drill. Both feature a powerful 24-volt (3.0 Ah) Nickel-Metal Hydride battery and a high performance Makita motor. The saw has a dual rail system with linear ball bearings for smooth and accurate performance. It cuts 316 two-by-fours at 90 degrees on a single charge, bevel cuts up 45 degrees to the left, and miter cuts 0-47 degrees left and 0-57 degrees right. Plus it has nine positive stops settings: 15, 22.5, 30, 45 right or left and 0 (90-degree cuts). The other half of this combo kit, the BHP460 1/2-inch cordless driver/drill kit, has 18 torque settings, delivers up to 476 in./lbs. of torque, and is well-balanced for easy handling. It has an ergonomic rubber grip for positive control and maximum comfort, and an industrial metal gear housing for durability. The externally accessible brushes are easy to get to and the single sleeve 1/2-inches keyless chuck has a shaft lock for fast and easy one-hand bit installation.
