This kit includes the Makita BLS712 7-1/2-inch cordless slide compound miter saw, which features a powerful 24-volt (3.0 Ah) Nickel-Metal Hydride battery and a high performance Makita motor. The dual rail system has linear ball bearings for a smooth and accurate performance. This saw cuts 316 two-by-fours at 90 degrees on a single charge, bevel cuts up 45 degrees to the left, and miter cuts 0-47 degrees left and 0-57 degrees right. It also has nine positive stops settings: 15-, 22.5-, 30-, 45- right or left and 0 (90-degree cuts). The kit also includes model BDF460 1/2-inch cordless driver/drill kit with a powerful 24-volt (1.7Ah) Nickel-Metal Hydride battery for longer run time. The drill/driver unit has 18 torque settings, delivers up to 476 in./lbs. of torque, and is well balanced for easy handling. The ergonomic rubber grip gives you positive control and maximum comfort. There is also two-speed gear selection (0-460 rpm or 0-1,500 rpm), electric brake, an industrial metal gear housing for durability, and externally accessible brushes. Plus, the single sleeve 1/2-inch keyless chuck with shaft lock makes for fast and easy one-handed bit installation.
