5but it seems like everything is in order
    By MrMoo
I have not used it, but it seems like everything is in order. I bought this as a backup for the one currently in use. At $14 for this and $10 for a capacitor, this is cheap insurance. I bought this one specifically because I wanted one that would work with my existing wiring with no modification. I say this because my wiring has ring terminals for the 4 main wires. I have seen other units wiring have no terminals, just bare wires that fit straight into the contactor. Those would still work, you would just have to cut the ring terminals off your existing wiring and remove some insulation. I just did not want to go that route should I have to replace my contacor one day.

    4Easy-to-replace part saves $$$$
    By Amazon Customer
Intermittent fan motor not running turned out to be burnt out contactor. Took about 20 minutes to change out old part for this one and problem was fixed. This contactor appears to be a recommended direct OE replacement from Carrier factory. Saved about $250 for a service call. Just turn off power to A/C, turn off thermostat, and discharge capacitor before you touch any wires. Take photo of wiring configuration and mark wires prior to removing and replacing. And make sure that amperage on new contactor is at least as high as old one.

Excellent replacement contactor/relay - ensure mains power to unit is off - use small piece of masking tape to number existing same color wires - take photo of existing installation - then if possible, swap them out 1 at a time... new unit works great!
