Bright and Sturdy
We just opened the box tonight. I was amazed how bright this was. I was expecting much less brightness. We took it outside, aimed it at the wall of the house where we will be working, and turned it on. It was about as bright as my neighbor's halogen lights. I had the light about 15 feet from the wall, and it lit up a swath of maybe as much as twenty feet on the wall.
The build is sturdy, much more than I would have thought (though, they do fasten the lamp housing to the base stand with a single screw - probably to allow you to swivel it). The unit doesn't get hot at all.
One word of caution - DON'T look at the reflector or the lights at all when turning it on. It is blindingly bright.

I purchased two of these lights for a specific project requiring light in a confined environment. I have two 500w halogen lights that I could have used but had some concerns that they might cause a fire due to their proximity to combustible material. I couldn't be more pleased with the quality of build or light output. During the last week they have been used continuously for an average of 8 hours a day without any issue. The heat output is negligible and the fact that I don't have to worry about changing the bulbs is a plus. I may never use my regular halogen lights again. I will say that it would be nice if they cost a little less.

Cord was too short for my application(5 feet). There was damage (bent in a couple of places) to the reflector inside the housing, I've no Idea how other than in manufacturing. Put it next to my 2000 lumen, didn't see much of a difference.
