I am a painter, by trade, and this little blade is just the right size. I do alot of interior and some exterior painting and there is nothing more tedious than painting windows and their mutton bars. So you can speed the process along quite a bit by tagging the windows and then using this little blade to cut and scrape excess paint off of the windows. When I used to just hold the blades, I would get hand cramps and my meaty paws would get in the way. I gotta say this little tool is just right!

Better than expected!
For under five bucks you just can't go wrong with this item. It's well made, comfortable to use, and SAFE!
I must admit to buying this tool with a lucky-dip mindset, not knowing what I'd receive. Had I known it was this good I probably would have just ordered two at the same time. The solid steel construction is very reassuring.
The main blade of the tool is heavy gauge steel, and the steel cover plate has handly tabs on each side to stop it rotating. It's all chrome plated. The blade securing screw is easy to grip, and the thread is not about to strip any time soon. The (single edged razor) blade is also secured by heavier locking tabs in the main blade. These tabs correspond with slots in the sides of all razor blades. It means that the blades are not solely dependant on the action of the cover plate securing screw to keep them in place! The blade stores safely (reversed) when finished. New blades are as easy to fit as when reversing the blade for storage, because they are always lifted out, never rotated. The handle is also cleverly shaped and allows various grip choices as required, a very welcome feature.
The blade angle of this tool is set relatively low, but obviously can be adjusted in use if more of a dragging action is required. I don't want to carry on about a simple razor blade holder. Suffice it to say, there are definitely far worse versions available than this one. Highly recommended!

Great little scraper and fantastic value
This is a fantastic little scraper that is comfortable to use.
A slightly softer grip would have made it perfect, but I'm just being picky.
It takes standard single-edge razor blades, which are clamped on with a gnarled phillips head thumb screw.
There is no blade guard, but the razor blade can be reversed during storage so it's not exposed.
The quality, especially for the low price, is very good.
The metal is about 2mm thick (1/16", chrome-plated), so it's very sturdy and will not bend or flex.
Length is about 115mm (4 1/2"), so it's the perfect size for cramped areas.
It also comes with a lifetime warranty.
Scraper is made in China for Michigan Industrial Tools.
