    5It worked!

If you have a Farberware coffee pot and it needs a new power cord, this is it. My mom's Coffee pot is about 30 years old and the cord fit and worked perfectly.

    5Farberware powder cord works
    By City of Oaks
I ordered this Farberware power cord because our old one quit being reliable (sometimes you had to jiggle it a little to get it to make contact). This one made me see how poorly our old one worked. The power cord came wrapped in plastic and exactly as pictured/described. I barely plugged it in and the percolator fired right up. I wish I had ordered this before now.

    1Failed Power Cord
    By EJCNJ
I contacted the seller because I the power cord I purchased from them started to smell like it was burning. And when I tried to unplug the unit it burned me it was so hot. I stopped using the cord immediately. Upon closer inspection the burned connector and wiring is clearly visible.

The seller told me to return the item to them. They wrote me back and said they tested the unit and it was fine and they wanted to return it to me.

I wrote back and declining to receive the damaged unit back and asked for a refund. I also included a picture that shows the burned connector.

The seller contacted me back telling me it was a problem on my end and they would not issue a refund.

I wrote back telling them I had already bought a new cord from another vendor and it has been working just fine.
The only reason I even have to replace the cords is that the connectors become loose and no longer make snug connection.
His unit is the only one that ever burned up.
They still would not issue a refund so I had to submit a claim through A-to-Z Guarantee

This unit it also the only power cord I have ever purchased that had a screw holding the plug together instead of a rivet. (that is also how I was able to open the unit up to see what was going on inside)
Maybe the seller is re-furbishing these power cords instead of supplying new ones?
    Buyers beware.
