For times when a colander or small basket strainer isn't enough, Polder has built an extra-large, sink-sized strainer basket. Adjustable handles--designed to suspend it above the sink floor--allow it to fit a range of sink sizes. For especially large sinks, the strainer has 1/2-inch feet that raise it up high enough for adequate drainage. Oversized means it's a good size for big batches of fruits and veggies from the garden or farmer's market. Plus, its large strainer surface is great for rinsing berries or beans that need to be spread out and sorted. Rinsing a bucket of oysters, clams, or mussels is easy, too; just place them in the Polder sink strainer and spray them down with the sprayer hose. It also easily functions as a makeshift dish drainer.
The Polder oversized sink strainer is made of 18/8 stainless steel with a mesh tight enough to wash rice in. Its retractable, adjustable arms are covered with black rubber sleeves to prevent scratched sink or counter surfaces. The basket measures 15 by 16 inches, the handles extend to a total width of 23 inches, and the feet are 1/2 inch tall. --Garland Withers
