Featuring above-the-table height adjustments and bit changes, the muscle of the new 890 Router Series comes from a Porter-Cable built, 2-1/4 HP, soft start motor with advanced electronic feedback (10,000 - 23,000 rpm). To ensure accuracy, the model 893PK features a dedicated knob for easy micro-height adjustments (to 1/128") and a bypass control for quick macro-adjustments and motor removal. An auto-spindle lock with switch lock-out ensures simple single-wrench/single-hand bit changes. The plunge base features machined brass post busing, quick motor release, thumb rotating depth stop, templet guide sized sub-base, removable springs, and built-in dust collection. Includes a multi-functrioal carrying case/router pedestal with multiple bit and accessory storage; plus an interactive CD-ROM with step-by-step video instructions for building a router table. For added versatility, the 2-1/4 HP motor is compatible with multiple 890 and 690 Router Series Bases. Also includes a large-opening, see-through sub-base; 1/4" and 1/2" self releasing collets; wrench; and table-top height adjustment handle with measurement ring.
